The Elder Law Practice of H. Todd Whatley is a firm that focuses on the needs of the elderly and those with special needs. We have offices in Bryant and Springdale. We are now in our 8th year of practice. Our firm focuses on Elder Law and Elder Law is all our practice does. Special Needs Trusts may not seem to be a part of Elder Law but many times my clients have children or grandchildren with special needs. Our ability to care for those heirs is very important. As a former Physical Therapist, I see this as a critical component of my practice. We have a staff of three attorneys, a paralegal, an assistant and two office staff.

I have offices in Bryant (Central Arkansas) and Springdale (Northwest Arkansas) to help better serve people throughout Arkansas.

I was a Physical Therapist for 13 years prior to becoming an Attorney. I have dealt with those with disabilities for my entire professional career originally from the medical side now helping them legally. I am one of two Certified Elder Law Attorney in Arkansas. My practice focuses on the legal needs of those that are aged and those with family members with special needs.

My heart breaks when I hear of people that have disinherited a special needs family member because they were receiving public benefits because giving money to that person would discontinue those benefits. The person with special needs requires probably more help than those family members that don't have special needs. Leaving the money to another child to "hold onto" for that special needs child is fraught with problems. There are solutions to allow for care for all of your family members and especially those with special needs. That is why I am a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners.

If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at any time.
